What is the difference between these two TV's?

I can't figure it out! They appear to be the same but part of the model number is different I think...and the first one is more expensive than the second one...

The First one is an XBR4 model and the other one is a W model....

The W model is what we call the ENTRY LEVEL MODEL...(short for the cheapest Tv with the basic features)

The XBR4 model is the "Cadillac" of the Sony TV Fleet....
More features and the BEST ONE is the Motion Flow technology....it's an added board that increases the TV signals frame rate to 120 Hertz which Quadruples the Original frame rate----Which allows the TV set to take any hi speed action and rewrite it several times to give it better focus....

THAT IS REQUIRED with Football and other hi speed sports, gamers like it too....

But if you're just watching movies.....then it won't blur up that much on movies...just the hi speed action parts.....

Anyways, you get what you pay for...and the XBR4 is the one I'd want....

But the W series is what most of us will buy.....

Extended Bit rate? Extended Black Range?
...... XBR has been used on TV sets from Sony since the early 90's.....there was no data bits used and no super Black pictures back then....

These are wild guesses...and I hate to SAY it, but Sony never did tell us techs what XBR stood for in the early 90's....and if they did....Hell even I forgot....
