Are spinergy rev x wheels compatible with a 10 speed cassette?

The Spinergy Rev X model was discontinued in 1999. Back then, a 10 speed cassettes never existed. It is likely that you have a 8 speed hub. A 8 speed hub will support 10 speed cassettes. The only incompatibility between 8.9.10 speed Shimano is that a 10 speed Shimano hub won’t support 8/9 cassettes. You need to put a 1 millimeter spacer on before the 10 speed cassette, as the 10 sped cassette is actually narrower than the 8/9 speed.

But to be honest, there was many reports of catastrophic failure in the Rev X . So that’s why they discontinued it. Look out for cracks and gouges. If you see any of those, discontinue using the wheels.
