Why connect a video cord to the back of my home theater system?
(Along with red/white audio cords)
Originally running a video connection to your stereo was a "convenience" feature...Imagine you only have ONE input (red, white, yellow) on your TV...But you've got a Hi-Fi VCR, DVD player, XBOX, etc.
You can funnel all the sound AND picture into your stereo...Then send one video cable out to your TV essentially making it a "monitor"...When you switch the sound, the picture switches simultaneously.
