Which Surround Sound Home Theater System is better? Or any better suggestions?

We are getting my Dad a surround sound home theater system for Christmas this year, and I can’t really decide between these two.

would most car speakers work with a home audio setup? Just curious for testing purposes….?

I realize that car speakers are made for different purposes than a surround speaker for a home theater (for example), but it’s safe to say I could hook up a car speaker like a 6.5″ or 6×9 for testing purposes, right? [...]
